Choosing the right career path is a pivotal decision for any graduate entering the professional world. Gartner’s sustained success creates limitless opportunities – opportunities that may not even exist right now – for you to grow professionally and flourish personally. Martina, a Sales Coach at Gartner, shares her journey and insights into why she chose a career in sales.

Martina attended the Stockholm School of Economics where she joined the CEMS program with an exchange at HEC Paris. For Martina, CEMS pushed her out of her comfort zone, exposed her to an international environment, and allowed her to build an incredible personal and professional network. These skills and experiences led to Martina deciding to join Gartner as an Account Manager after she graduated.

In her role as an Account Manager, Martina was responsible for building relationships and driving business growth through strategic partnerships. Her role involved engaging with clients, understanding their unique challenges, and providing tailored solutions that leverage Gartner's research and insight. Through her success as an Account Manager, Martina earned three promotions in three years and attended three Winner's Circle events, Gartner’s business recognition event for top performers. She has now transitioned to our Sales Learning & Development team, where she focuses on coaching new hires to achieve sales success.

For Martina, a career in sales offered the perfect blend of strategic thinking and interpersonal engagement. Sales roles at Gartner provide the opportunity to directly influence business outcomes, foster meaningful client relationships, and continuously learn about industry trends and innovations. Martina's decision to pursue sales was driven by her passion for connecting with people and her desire to contribute to organizational success.
