When I first received my full-time offer from Gartner and decided to move to Dallas, I did my research on the city and leaned on experiences from family and friends. I discovered that Dallas was the perfect blend of a vibrant city with a strong sense of community—exactly what I was looking for post-grad.
Gartner played a huge role in making my cross-country move smooth and exciting. They connected me with other members of my cohort who were also relocating to the Dallas area, which helped me start building relationships before I even arrived. That early sense of connection made the transition feel seamless.
Gartner’s Sales Development Program turned out to be exactly what I needed to kick off my post-grad journey. Everyone in my cohort is in a similar stage of life, recently graduated and navigating a new city, which made it easy to form friendships and build a support system. Gartner also excels at helping new hires transition from college to the corporate world. The onboarding process is thorough and thoughtfully designed, with onboarding buddies and peer mentors to lean on throughout each step.
Now, two months in, I can confidently say that choosing Gartner and the SDP was the right move. The culture here is incredibly supportive, and everyone genuinely wants to see you succeed. My team includes people with a wide range of experience, which means there’s always someone to learn from. I’ve already seen significant growth in both my professional and personal life through opportunities like shadowing calls, one-on-ones with leadership, and connecting with colleagues who’ve been promoted internally.
Moving across the country was a big step, and like any major change it came with its share of uncertainty. But having the support of Gartner and the community within the Sales Development Program made all the difference. From day one, I felt connected, supported, and encouraged to grow. I’m excited to see where the Sales Development Program takes me in my career at Gartner.
