Recently, Gartner hosted the annual Emerging Leaders Summit (ELS), a two-day program that provides the opportunity for rising university juniors to learn more about Gartner. We host two separate ELS programs – one sales focused and the other services focused. The summits introduce the students to our sales and client service teams through interactions with current associates and professional development workshops. Read on to learn more about the program, selection process, and hear from some current Gartner associates who completed the program.
Students are selected for the program by our University Recruiting team. After a successful phone interview, students are invited to attend. Wondering how you can get involved in the program? Jessica Wilson, Recruiting Program Specialist, shares her advice for students who are interested in being considered for the summit, “Stay connected and engaged with your Gartner university recruiter, interact on LinkedIn, and be sure to do your research on the company and business areas to ensure you have an interest in sales or client services. Gartner’s Life at Gartner page on our career website is a great way to learn more about who we are, what we do, and our culture.”
The Emerging Leaders Summit started in 2018 and brings students awareness and a chance to engage with Gartner while providing them the opportunity to upskill via professional development workshops. In addition, students who successfully complete the summit are invited to interview for the upcoming Summer Internship Program. Business panel interviews are conducted to make final offer decisions. Other factors that influence decisions are on the student’s engagement throughout the program and overall interview performance.
