At Gartner, we believe in giving back and making a positive impact in the communities where we live and work. That’s why we recently partnered with local organizations to launch a global book drive, helping to put gently used books into the hands of those who need them most.
The idea for the book drive was simple but powerful: encourage Gartner associates to donate books already on their shelves, reducing waste and supporting our commitment to sustainability. In partnership with the Gartner Green Team, we set out to collect books that could help students during the back-to-school season, stock local libraries, and support organizations making a difference in education.
We’re proud to share that 25 Gartner offices around the world participated in the initiative, resulting in the donation of more than 1,240 books to local libraries, organizations, and schools. This collective effort demonstrates the power of coming together for a common cause and the difference we can make when we work as one global team.
Our associates played a key role in the success of this initiative. Here’s what one of our associates had to say:
“The Gartner book drive created an opportunity for our team to engage more fully in the communities in which we live. The impact goes beyond the pages of a book. It’s about fostering a love for reading, supporting literacy, and showing that we care about one another’s futures. It’s a small act that can spark big change. I participated in the book drive because I believe in the power of community and empathy. At Gartner, we talk a lot about making a positive impact, and this was a way to put that value into action. I wanted to be part of something that brings people together for a good cause.” - Karlene J., Director Consulting
Together, we’re not only supporting education but also reinforcing Gartner’s commitment to sustainability and community engagement.
