How Gartner Associates Are Recognizing Veterans Throughout November

This November, Gartner proudly recognizes Veterans Month with a series of events and initiatives organized by our Veterans at Gartner Employee Resource Group (ERG). Associates across the globe are invited to join in honoring veterans and their families, celebrating their service, and supporting their ongoing contributions to our communities.

Open to all, our Veterans at Gartner ERG is a global community centered on public service and the recognition of veteran associates, their family members and colleagues. Our mission is to empower veterans and their colleagues to reach their full potential and contribute meaningfully to Gartner’s success by creating opportunities for associate growth and development and fostering a culture of respect.

To mark Veterans Month, all Gartner associates are invited to participate in a wide range of in-person and virtual programming designed to foster connection, resilience, and professional growth. Our programming will kick off with panel discussion, where military families share personal stories about navigating transitions, deployments, and parenting. Associates can also join a coffee chat featuring veteran storytelling and prompts to deepen understanding of the veteran experience at Gartner. The month’s programming will also include a panel about leading under pressure and transitioning to the corporate world.

Associates are also invited to join a fitness challenge to honor our armed forces. Gartner associates based in Mumbai can unite for the Mpower Cyclothon, a mega cycling event championing mental wellness and sustainable change, sparking important conversations about mental health and well-being. These events offer associates meaningful opportunities to engage, learn, and celebrate the contributions of veterans and their families within our global community.

In addition to these events associates will be invited to participate in the #22Challenge, an initiative that raises awareness of the veteran suicide crisis. Through this challenge, our associates will show their support for service members and their families and encourage colleagues and teams to do the same.

Finally, associates can join the “Thank a Veteran” card-writing project gathering with colleagues to write heartfelt messages of appreciation for veterans and service members in collaboration with BRAVE. These cards will be distributed to local organizations, reminding veterans of our gratitude for their service.

Gartner is committed to creating an inclusive and safe environment for veterans and their families and we continue to search for new opportunities to better strengthen our culture to better support all our associates.
