About this role:
The Variable Compensation Associate plays a crucial role within our VC Care team, supporting the administration of worldwide Sales, Consulting, Conference, and Specialist Compensation Plans. You will assist commission-eligible associates with compensation-related inquiries, disputes, and escalations, provide education and training on compensation details, and perform recurring monthly processes as well as ad-hoc reporting and analysis regarding bookings data, revenue performance, commission earnings, and annual sales awards attainment. This position requires strong analytical skills, exceptional customer service, and proficiency in Excel.
What you'll do:

Complete recurring manual tasks for processes not systematically automated, frequent use of Excel, SQL, and SaaS commission applications

Maintain commission application by performing data inputs, validation, and data quality checks on both imports and exports

Assist commission-eligible associates with inquiries related to commission, compensation, quota, earnings, and related topics via multiple channels (email, chat, etc.)

Engage with Sales Associates to explain and support their understanding of commission calculations, adjustments, and payments

Conduct thorough research and analysis to resolve inquiries, investigating anomalies to determine root causes and propose solutions

Review monthly commission payments, confirm calculations by reconciling data to source systems, and sign-off on payment integrity

Process adjustment requests according to established documentation

Generate ad-hoc sales reports and analyses for leadership and business partners as needed

Deliver formal and ad-hoc training sessions to commission-eligible associates

Collaborate and coordinate among financial, sales, and operational departments

Participate in testing system enhancements as required

Drive continuous improvement by supporting initiatives, taking ownership of responsibilities, and meeting department SLAs, goals, and objectives

Coordinate and complete additional projects as requested
What you'll need:

1 year of relevant experience, professional development, relevant college coursework, or specialized certifications
-
Proficiency in basic Excel functions including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data filtering and sorting, and strong data analytical skills

Understanding of SQL, basic query writing, and use of pre-written templates is a plus

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective listening skills, and the ability to support a high volume of inquiries in a fast-paced environment

Strong problem-solving skills, curious mindset, and ability to resolve complex inquiries with available resources

Comfortable working with large data sets from multiple sources

Ability to understand compensation plan elements
