About this role:

The Test Engineer position is responsible for building, executing, and automating test cases based on test plans and functional requirements across our products.

 

What you will do: 

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 

· Build, execute, and automate test cases based on test plans and functional requirements

·Conduct functional testing of new requirements and enhancements of applications

·Perform peer reviews of test scripts, results and documentation

· Interpret and report testing results and advocate for quality in every phase of the development process

· Work with Software Development Engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented

 

What you will need 

Strong IT professional with 2-4 years of experience in ETL testing. The candidate should have strong qualitative and quantitative problem-solving skills along with high on ownership and accountability. 

        

Must have:

· 2+ years of QA experience

·  Strong knowledge in writing complex queries for validation of ETL process.

·  Ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries, including all types of joins, aggregations, window functions, and advanced filtering.

·  Proficiency in using SQL for data validation, profiling, and reconciliation.

· Hands-on experience with Power BI for data visualization, and testing dashboards.

· Ability to validate BI reports against source data and ensure data accuracy and integrity

· Understanding of platforms like Azure Synapse Analytics.

·  Experience in testing data pipelines in cloud environments.

·  Experience with any of the tools such as iCEDQ, DataOps, QuerySurge, Informatica, Talend, or SSIS for automating ETL testing.

·  Ability to design and implement automated test cases for ETL processes.

·  Involvement in data migration projects, including planning, execution, and validation of migrated data.

·Ability to perform row count, data integrity, and transformation validation during migrations.

· Ability to interpret source-to-target mapping documents and convert them into test cases or complex SQL queries for validation.

·  Experience in validating mapping logic and ensuring accurate data transformation.

·  Perform data verification and reconciliation between source and target systems.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure alignment with testing efforts.

·Generate and maintain test data for various scenarios.

·Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modelling, and data integration.

·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
 

Good to have:

·Exposure to Data ops, Data bricks Tools

· Experience in BI report testing using Business Objects, BI Publisher

· Good to have Sql Server Management Studio exposure

Who you are

· Graduate/Post graduate in BE/Btech, ME/MTech or MCA is preferred. 

· Excellent communication and prioritization skills.

·  Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment.

· Owns success – Takes responsibility for successful delivery of the solutions.

· Strong desire to improve upon their skills in software development, frameworks, and technologies
