What you will do

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based, scalable, and resilient data pipelines supporting batch workloads. 
  • Architect high‑performance, optimized data solutions by participating in requirements review, system design, and technical implementation. 
  • Design, build, and automate data pipelines and applications to support data scientists, analysts, and researchers for analytics, reporting, and experimentation. 
  • Design and build AI/ML-enabled data pipelines, leveraging platforms such as AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, and associated services. 
  • Evaluate technical feasibility of proposed solutions, define implementation plans, identify risks, dependencies, and potential blockers, and propose mitigation strategies. 
  • Ensure all data solutions meet security, privacy, and compliance standards, and continuously enhance pipelines to address evolving security requirements. 
  • Collaborate with administrative and platform teams to support provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of AWS services, SageMaker environments, and Postgres databases 
  • Support and lead automation efforts across the data analytics team using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment best practices. 
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to design and implement automated testing frameworks, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and prevention of data loss. 
  • Drive operational excellence by improving monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability of data pipelines. 
  • Promote the integration of new cloud technologies and continuously evaluate new tools that will improve the organization’s capabilities while leading to lower total cost of operation.  
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and develop reusable components, shared frameworks, and standards that improve engineering productivity and consistency. 
  • Act as a technical advisor for data engineering initiatives, influencing architectural decisions and best practices. 
  • Provide regular project status updates to engineering leadership and stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and dependencies. 
  • Contribute to documentation of architectures, pipelines, operational runbooks, and best practices to ensure long‑term maintainability and knowledge sharing. 

What you will need  

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, and 4-6 years of related work experience.    

         Must have

  • Excellent problem-solving & communication skills 
  • Data architecture & data quality 
  • Python & SQL, Spark and any data processing frameworks (preferably DBT) 
  • AWS services such as S3, ECS, Lambda, EMR, Glue and Step Functions; 
  • Unit testing and reviews 
  • Modern Big Data Modelling techniques. 

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field required

  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be familiar with systems scope and projects objectives to ensure design, build and test of a robust system

  • Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment.

  • Strong desire to improve upon their skills in software development, frameworks, and technologies.
