Gartner’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) enable associate success throughout the year by supporting development, recognizing life stages, inspiring through storytelling and celebrating success, and driving engagement through a sense of belonging. This year, we celebrated eight ERG recognition months, each dedicated to highlighting the unique cultures, experiences and perspectives of our group members – while including our allies and educating them on our diverse communities.
Throughout 2024, Gartner’s ERGs hosted an impressive 55 recognition month events, each thoughtfully designed to inspire, engage and educate. These events showcased the incredible impact of our ERG communities.
Here are just a few highlights:
- Women’s History Month, led by Women at Gartner, drew more than 2,000 associates to events in March, setting a record for the highest ERG participation in Gartner’s history. Programming for Women’s History Month included events on gaining confidence in the workplace and balancing the demands of parenthood and careers.
- During Disability Pride Month in July, the Collective Abilities Network (CAN) raised $71,000 in pledged donations to support disability inclusion initiatives during their annual Gartner Cribs fundraiser event, exceeding last year’s pledges by $20,000.
- In September, Hispanic & Latin Recognition Month marked the launch of Unidos at Gartner – our newest ERG. Unidos is dedicated to creating inclusive spaces for Hispanic and Latin associates and their allies around the world. Events held during the month included a panel discussion on career development and a guest speaker session on overcoming barriers in the workplace.
Reflecting on the impact of our ERG efforts this year, Tiffanny Stepherson, VP, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, shared:
“Gartner’s ERGs cultivate a sense of belonging where every associate can thrive. Throughout the year, and especially during our eight recognition months, our ERGs inspire and energize our workforce by celebrating both unique perspectives and shared experiences. With thoughtful, intentional and impactful planning, these efforts not only showcase the impact of our ERG community, but also deepen Gartner’s culture of inclusion, where every associate feels supported and motivated to achieve their full potential.” –
