About this role:
This is an individual contributor role. Splits time in a project management capacity and supporting reporting and analytics.
What you’ll do:
Project manage various Finance Source To Pay (S2P) initiatives, including business and technical process changes, reporting enhancements, and application implementations. This includes managing projects through all phases: initiation, where project scope, objectives, and deliverables are defined in collaboration with stakeholders; planning, involving the development of detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies; execution, coordinating and overseeing the implementation of project activities to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines; monitoring and controlling, tracking project progress, managing changes, and addressing any issues to ensure the project stays on track; and closing, ensuring successful project completion, including final deliverables, project documentation, and post-implementation reviews.
Project Management:

Project Planning: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management, stakeholders and third parties/vendors.

Timeline Management: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.

Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, issues, and changes.

Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and post-project evaluations.
Reporting and Analytics:

Self-Service Analytics Development: Partner in the development of self-service analytics solutions, which may include data visualization, business intelligence, and data collection tools.

Requirements Documentation: Understand and document business requirements for reporting and analytics projects.

Cross-Team Collaboration: Engage in cross-team collaboration with multiple business units, working with individuals who have varying levels of analytical experience within those units.

Report Development: Collaborate with business users to help develop and refine reports that meet their needs and support decision-making processes.
Internal and External Relationships / Interactions:

Gartner Finance+ Teams, IT, Financial Systems Support, and Other Business Units: Collaborate closely with these teams to gather requirements, share insights, and ensure alignment on project goals and reporting needs.

Immediate Team Members: Work collaboratively with team members on assigned tasks, leveraging each other's strengths to achieve common objectives.

Senior Staff and Supervisors: Seek guidance and mentorship from senior team members or supervisors within the department to enhance your skills and ensure adherence to best practices.

Direct Supervisors: Regularly communicate updates, progress, and any potential issues to direct supervisors to maintain transparency and receive timely feedback.

Internal Team Members: Build strong rapport and foster a collaborative environment to facilitate teamwork and ensure successful project and reporting outcomes.

External Third Parties/Vendors/Suppliers: Occasionally interact with external vendors or clients under supervision to gather information, provide updates, or address specific needs related to projects or reporting.
What you will need:

Bachelor’s degree required. Degree with a concentration in Finance, Operations, Statistics or Business Administration preferred

2-3 years of experience in business operations, with a focus on project management and/or reporting and analytics. Familiarity with processes around Procure-to-Pay, Travel & Expense or a similar area of finance would be an advantage.

Strong Microsoft office skills, including MS Visio (for process design/architecture)

Proficiency in using Collaboration tools like Shared Google Drives & MS SharePoint is a must.

Experience in Data Analysis and Visualization using Excel (MS Power BI is a plus).

Ability to conduct technical analysis to identify patterns and trends in data. Past experience in troubleshooting and data testing would be preferred.

Proficiency in SQL a plus

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships by providing value-added services and effective communication.

Business Acumen: Basic knowledge or familiarity with finance, business functions, and industry-specific concepts and practices.
