Email Developer

About the role:

This position will support the Gartner’s Global Email Operations team. Individuals in this role will work on developing and organizing email templates and modules for our content management system. Specific duties include but are not limited to coding email and landing pages, templating email builds, managing production queue, revamping outdated templates, quality assurance and control on new builds, rendering testing on various devices. This position will have the opportunity to develop business skills and acquire a broad understanding of Gartner with growth opportunities in digital marketing.

What you will do:

  • Proficient in HTML / CSS coding to facilitate curation of new email templates and design modifications as per the business need.

  • Optimize email code for efficiency and rendering.

  • Provide best practice recommendations for new email template builds and ensure all creatives are compliant with Gartner’s brand guidelines.

  • Ensure design specifications provided by Marketers are properly executed on.

  • Help build email assets such as headers, footers, signature layouts, banners, and other related content as required.

  • Ensure thorough QA/QC on templates and modules, using tools like Email on Acid, Litmus etc.

  • Maintain a repository of email templates and ensure contents are scrutinized as needed.

  • Great communication skills to drive regular collaborations with global stakeholders and peers to gather and orchestrate project requirements.

  • Work with managers to help train and guide Digital production teams on use of email templates.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in arts or sciences

  • Expertise and experience in HTML and CSS

  • Hands-on experience in Adobe Photoshop or other competitive image editors

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in design/development.

  • Experience in analytics tools such as Email on Acid or Litmus is preferred

  • Great communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Exceptional client service ethic

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership for wide-ranging responsibilities

  • Superior problem-solving ability and ability to think “outside the box.”

  • Ability to form and test hypotheses with available data and industry/corporate best practices

  • Tolerance for ambiguity and self-drive to operate in an entrepreneurial setting

  • Proven ability of managing tasks from beginning to end with strict adherence to deadlines
