What we’re looking for: 

We are looking for a hands-on Agile Coach to join a growing Enterprise Agile team within Gartner Digital Markets. This year is about acceleration, having spent the previous year modernizing and setting the foundation. You will report to the Enterprise Agile Senior Manager, who manages our Enterprise Agile team and is searching for candidates excited for an opportunity to contribute to a highly collaborative, engaged team!

In your role as an Agile Coach, you will partner with teams in our DevOps organization to improve their ways of working and deliver results. You will be responsible for evolving team practices and helping them collaborate cross-functionally within Gartner Digital Markets and other parts of Gartner. A critical part of this role is ensuring proactive communication with engineering and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with objectives, as well as identifying and managing dependencies.

Why you’ll want to come to work:

  • Coach DevOps teams to elevate their Agile, Lean, and DevOps practices and enhance overall performance.

  • Foster the Agile and DevOps mindset across teams and departments.

  • Collaborate with product management, engineering managers, and stakeholders to address issues, manage resources, and handle dependencies.

  • Encourage DevOps leaders to create a shared understanding of objectives among stakeholders, including engineering leads, product managers, and business stakeholders.

  • Ensure that effective communication channels are established and impediments are promptly addressed.

  • Promote the flow of information, learning, and continuous improvement within and across teams.

  • Manage dependencies, facilitate process improvements, and ensure transparency and accessibility of information among stakeholders.

  • Lead and facilitate DevOps ceremonies, such as backlog refinement and collaborative sessions, to drive alignment and productivity.

What you’ll bring to the team:

Must have

  • Strong facilitation skills to foster collaboration and conflict resolutions, identify dependencies, and clear blockers.

  • Ability to develop and execute action plans that promote continuous improvement.

  • Experience driving organizational change and cultural transformation within teams. 

  • Understanding of and ability to track metrics related to infrastructure, deployment frequency, lead time, mean time to recovery (MTTR), and other DevOps-specific metrics to help the team’s improvement.

  • Advocacy for continuous improvement and an enabler who ensures the team performs at a high level of autonomy. 

  • Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills, other languages are a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Extensive experience with and understanding of DevOps principles and how to put them into practice across cross-functional initiatives.

  • Experiences with teams that use IaC, CI/CD, containers, orchestration tools, and cloud platforms.

  • Deep commitment to quality, bringing experiences to promote the integration of security practices into the DevOps workflow.

  • Experience with various facilitation methods, techniques (Liberating structures, visual facilitation, gamestorming) are a plus.
