Team Lead, HRIS Ops


About this role:

The HRIS Team Lead oversees and assists HRIS Operations in the performance of their job duties such as responding to inquiries and resolving issues or complaints. This role will serve as the liaison between all HRIS workstreams, ensuring full understanding of new functionalities being deployed to the team, as well as translating said functionalities into new SOPs for the Tier 2 team. A successful candidate must provide line of sight into HRIS Operations, manage recurring and ad hoc operational inquiries, and deliver on various technical and functional processes and projects.  

What you'll do:

  • Lead a team of Tier 2 Analysts providing support for HR inquiries and processes
  • Prepare monthly reports summarizing team performance; processing time, exceptions and compliance; metrics for efficiencies
  • Identify opportunities to drive automation, improve HR system and processes in collaboration with Business Process Owners and HRIS Products; make recommendations to Gartner leadership leveraging data and insights 
  • Ensure full understanding of new functionalities being deployed, its impact to operations, set operational support standards, and translate into new SOPs
  • Ensure that representatives are informed about changes to policies and services
  • Prepare knowledge-based documents such as summaries and responses to frequently asked questions
  • Execute quality assurance efforts to ensure the accuracy of processes, data, and information within HR systems
  • Review and audit operational events, customer satisfaction and SLA performance
  • Review and analyze feedback and customer survey data to prepare reports for leadership
  • Manage resources and oversee capacity planning
  • Hire and train new team members

What you'll need:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HR systems operations, preferably Workday HCM, including experience with business processes, data structure, domain, and BP security, EIBs, reporting & calculated fields, and data auditing. 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Team Lead or Manager role 
  • Knowledge of Workday business processes. 
  • Knowledge of Workday configurations preferred
  • Experience working in JIRA, ServiceNow (Preferred). 
  • Strong service orientation with a high sense of urgency, ownership, and accountability. 
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong work ethic, proven ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Exceptional time management skills and an ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines. 
  • High-level of executive presence and stakeholder management. 
  • Change management experience. 
  • Ability to collaborate successfully with a global team. 
  • Strong Microsoft office skills
