About this role:

In HR IT Operations Excellence team, Operations Lead oversees the technology systems and processes that facilitate human resources operations. This pivotal role involves managing the implementation, upkeep, and enhancement of HR IT applications and infrastructure crucial for diverse HR functions such as employee data management, payroll, benefits administration, and recruitment.

The HR IT Operations Lead collaborates closely with HR teams, IT professionals, and external vendors to ensure alignment with organizational requirements, regulatory compliance, and optimal functionality. They are responsible for providing technical support, resolving issues, and spearheading initiatives aimed at refining HR technology solutions to streamline workflows, enhance data accuracy, and elevate the overall employee experience. Moreover, they may oversee aspects of data security, access controls, and adherence to data privacy regulations.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with internal team members and external vendors to ensure smooth integration and operation of HR technology solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to HR teams and end-users, troubleshooting issues and resolving technical challenges in a timely manner.
  • Automate routine HR activities, such as data entry, report generation, and notifications, reducing manual effort and minimizing the risk of errors.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline HR processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance the overall employee experience through innovative use of technology.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including user guides, policies, and procedures, to support the effective use of HR technology systems.
  • Lead the planning and execution of infrastructure upgrades for HR IT systems, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations while maximizing the benefits of updated technology.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures for HR IT systems, outlining protocols for data backup, system restoration, and recovery in the event of a natural disaster.
  • Evaluate data security measures, access controls, and compliance with data privacy regulations, implementing and monitoring safeguards to protect sensitive HR information

What you’ll need:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective resolutions to minimize disruption to operations.
  • Strong understanding of integration patterns, data mapping, and transformation techniques, with the ability to troubleshoot integration issues and implement effective resolutions.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, as well as automation platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of Workday's integration tools and technologies, such as Workday Web Services (SOAP and REST APIs) is a plus.
