Description
We are seeking a seasoned, results-oriented Director to grow strategic partnerships with third party organizations and accelerate high quality leads to our Advisor team. GDM is focused on helping small businesses accelerate their growth by finding the right software and services. Leading this function, you’ll be responsible for growth of existing partnerships, finding and pitching our value to prospective partners, and collaborating with internal teams to drive GDM business objectives.
Responsibilities

Create a compelling vision for prospective partners demonstrating how they can leverage GDM assets. It’s not just about generating leads, it’s about forming strong, long lasting partnerships that are beneficial for both sides.

Work with GDM teams to evaluate the partner market landscape, conduct competitive analysis and business case modeling to provide guidance around potential partners; evaluate strategic, operational and financial impact.

Gain a deep knowledge of our PPL & PPC business so you can ensure the right high quality opportunities make it to our Advisor team.

Interface closely with internal content, brand marketing, and product teams to leverage existing assets or develop new assets as needed and to ensure successful implementation

Negotiate partnership contract terms through to signing, considering payment structure and implementation requirements from partner organizations based on product/engineering specs (e.g. APIs, performance tracking, commission and/or payment terms), and ensure a smooth graduation to the account management team

Collect and share key insights from partner pitches. Use feedback from potential partners to identify improvements to the program

Ensure financial forecasts are met; develop sensible yet ambitious forward looking growth plans
Requirements:
-
8+ years of professional experience, ideally with 5+ years of leading a partnership, business development or channel sales function

Maturity, confidence and a growth mindset; comfortable with cold introductions and objection handling

Sound excel skills and strategic business judgment

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Familiarity with digital marketing and performance advertising models -- can speak with ease to senior marketing execs on CPMs, CPL, CVR%, Multi Touch Attribution, LTV, and the like.

Strong negotiation skills and familiarity designing new deals and drafting new agreements.

Productive existing relationships with corporate executives at a variety of organizations catering to B2B audiences such as Financial Services, Trade Associations & Advocacy Groups, and others targeting small business leaders a strong plus

Experience with partner management platforms such as Impact, TUNE, or Commission Junction preferred but not required

BA or BS required, experience at a top-tier management consulting firm and/or MBA a plus

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 116,000 USD - 164,220 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates.
