What we’re looking for:
Gartner Digital Markets’ is looking for a passionate Software Engineer to work with our highly skilled technology team located in Austin, TX.
You will create and deliver reliable, high performing, microservices across with serverless and event based architecture. You are an engineer desiring to work alongside outstanding peers to utilize modern technologies with cutting edge techniques. You are looking for the opportunity to be mentored by our senior engineers and participate in regular code reviews and development exercises.
Why you’ll want to come to work everyday:

Develop and support solutions which deliver outstanding user experiences across multiple web applications with attention to architecture and performance.

Work with technologies like Golang, AWS Serverless, Kubernetes, and more.

Develop solutions for features from concept to release; you will help assess the complexity of stories in sprints, help break large stories into smaller achievable chunks, work with peers to design and develop features, help validate the features, then release for deployment.

Familiarity with application performance and building the ideal solution for the problems we solve.

Collaborate with colleagues across multiple teams, troubleshoot issues with a team, and participate in paired programming activities.

Have a path towards a strong future in Software Engineering learning all the ins and outs of Software Development

Work with modern languages and learn cutting edge coding techniques.

Feeling a sense of accomplishment providing valuable solutions
Must Haves:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical software development experience

Understanding of Software Performance and best practices
Nice to haves:

Ability to manage and execute production level code

Desire to grow in backend web server technologies and languages

Curiosity for improving systems

Passion for engineering, learning, and teamwork is a must!

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 62,400 USD - 98,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates. We also offer market leading benefit programs including generous PTO, a 401k match up to $7,200 per year, the opportunity to purchase company stock at a discount, and more.
