About this role
The Managing Vice President of Source to Pay is responsible for the success of Gartner’s end-to-end source to pay (S2P) process, including people, process and technology and is responsible for global supplier contracting and onboarding, third party risk management, disbursement processing, global payroll processing, and travel and corporate card programs. In this role, you will be responsible for policy development, ensuring strong internal controls and fostering and monitoring compliance with policies, authorization matrices, travel programs, corporate credit cards, etc. This role reports to the GVP, Corporate Controller and is responsible for a global team of over 80 associates. The following positions directly report to the MVP, S2P: VP, Source to Contract; VP, Payroll and Procure to Pay; and VP, T&E and S2P Operations.
What you will do
Responsibilities:

Determine the strategic vision for the overall S2P function that ensures executional excellence that can scale with Gartner’s growth while remaining compliant with regulations, policies, and internal controls

Ensure alignment between S2P subfunctions (procurement, accounts payable, T&E and payroll) and the organization's broader functions. Champion a holistic view of how S2P can best serve the overall company

Lead a large global team of associates that range from early in career to VPs in multiple locations

Oversee reporting for the entire S2P process to ensure quality information for decision making

Use data to identify opportunities and implement strategies that focus on the effectiveness and efficiency of the entire function

Interact with executives to advocate for S2P initiatives and to ensure cross-functional collaboration

Translate corporate initiatives to S2P team

Manage budget of over $10 million

Participate on corporate-wide teams as needed, e.g., travel, crisis management, acquisitions
Qualifications:

15+ years progressive experience in managing global S2P team

Experience with Oracle Fusion, Coupa, and Concur preferred

Accounting experience a plus

Exceptional leadership and proven ability to build teams, retain talent and drive continuous improvement

Strong business process, financial and operations analysis skills

Effective influencing skills as well as strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Ability to develop and execute operational strategies, and to develop/establish the framework, infrastructure and process to support efficient processing and solid financial reporting

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, up to and including C-level executives

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 184,000 USD - 255,990 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
