What You’ll Do:

  • Perform installation, configuration and upgrading of databases on all environments

  • Experience with MS SQL, PostgreSQL in on-prem and cloud-based environments.

  • Working experience on Azure and AWS cloud database technologies

  • Good knowledge of database fundamentals and deep knowledge of database architecture and concepts.

  • Preferably good to know ServiceNow, Git, Jira, data dog and Splunk tools.

  • Hands-on experience in all generic database administration activities

  • Must have T-SQL skills or PL/SQL and manage Database security tasks

  • Maintain sound backup policies and procedures

  • Hands on experience with PowerShell or Linux Shell scripting

  • Proactively working on Performance and Blocking issues on servers by auditing Databases

  • Good knowledge of automation for provisioning and administration tasks

  • Provide On Call/Ad-hoc weekend support of the database environment.

What You’ll Need:

  • 4-6 years’ experience in Database Engineering/administration/Troubleshooting/Maintenance with a bachelor’s degree (B.E., BTech.)

  • Experience in migrating and/or managing databases in on-prem & cloud (AWS, Azure).

  • Excellent debugging skills.

  • Ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team and other internal stakeholders
