About the role:
Gartner is looking for a well-rounded, hands-on data engineer to join our effort to automate territory enrichment processes to increase seller productivity and success. The candidate will be responsible for working with business leaders to understand requirements, then designing and building integrations and add-ons to Gartner’s systems. The ideal candidate will be someone who has worked closely with business analysis teams and has played a key role in implementing and enhancing back-office solutions. The candidate should have demonstrable experience innovating with technology to meet business needs.
What you will do:

Implement, Administer, Maintain, and Support systems core to Gartner’s operational excellence

Design, Develop, Test, Implement and Maintain critical integrations, extensions, and add-ons to empower Gartner’s continued growth

Utilize best practices, standard procedures, and techniques to develop and configure applications
-
Maintain a strong working hands-on knowledge of the programming languages and tools relevant to our systems
-
Analyze and interpret business requirements to define and develop technical requirements/specifications
-
Participate in technical design, contributing insights and ideas
-
Successfully troubleshoot application problems independently or in a team setting
-
Learn and maintain a strong working knowledge of multiple business areas and the applications that support them

Be able to transform unstructured raw data into formats suitable for modeling
-
Be able to work in a globally distributed team in an Agile/Scrum approach
What you will need:
Strong IT professional with 5-7 years of experience in software design and development using Python applications in the Finance domain. The candidate should have strong qualitative and quantitative problem-solving skills along with high on ownership and accountability.
Must have:
-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Applied Statistics, or a related field.

Advanced knowledge, hands-on experience of Python programming language with 4-6 years of development experience.

Hands-on experience in AWS Services like EKS/ECS, Amazon S3, Amazon Lambda, Amazon API Gateway, SQS, SNS, and Elastic Cache Experience.

Scrum software development methodology experience.

Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to detect and resolve data/analytics quality issues

Good problem-solving skills.
Who you are

Graduate/Postgraduate in Technical field. BE/B. Tech, ME/MTech or MCA is preferred.

Excellent communication and prioritization skills.

Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment.

Owns success – Takes responsibility for successful delivery of the solutions.

Strong desire to improve upon their skills in software development, frameworks, and technologies.
