What you’ll do: 

  • Responsible for leading and managing the CIO conferences portfolio, with direct revenue accountability and oversight across global conferences

  • Set global strategy for building, executing and continually optimizing campaigns to support the high-level volume and revenue growth requirements of the conference marketing team

  • Direct individual ownership of one or more conferences, including 

    • Identify, proactively prospect and nurture new business prospects with a high propensity to convert to a conference attendee and Gartner research client

    • Working with product research and conference program management to develop a deep understanding of product offerings and conference agenda to successfully develop, position, package, and communicate the value proposition of Gartner and the conference to potential attendees

  • Develop high level partnerships with key internal stakeholders including program, CAS, database, corporate marketing, and digital marketing teams

  • Identify and manage critical portfolio engagement, channel and conversion KPIs to track performance and provide regular insights and reporting to key stakeholders

  • Led the creation of value-based portfolio and conference messaging & positioning, competitive differentiation, and story lines for conference promotion (both existing and new launches) through emails, collateral, video, web, SEM and other channels

  • Work with Digital Marketing Center of Excellence and analytics tools to inform and identify the best channel mix to drive best possible ROI on campaign spend

  • Monitor overall campaign mix and performance – from lead acquisition to registration, leveraging re-targeting efforts to maximize overall engagement

  • Actively monitor demand conversion and registrations, identify challenges and solutions, and report results to stakeholders

  • Ability to work with client-facing Sales and Services leadership and teams to ensure readiness and path to goal in selling and promoting conferences

  • Demonstrate a significant understanding of the company’s markets, products and services for optimal business success

  • Ability to interact with and present to Gartner senior leadership on portfolio business and path to goal

  • Ideal candidate will thrive in a fast moving environment, desire accountability, be courageous, and drive results with a focus on impacting the market.  They must be a true team player within marketing, within Conferences, and to key company partners.

What you’ll need:

  • Metrics-driven and insatiably curious with a minimum of 7+ years’ experience in outbound / digital marketing and direct responsibility for delivering revenue through marketing and sales channels

  • Proven track record of exceeding KPIs and delivering consistent revenue and customer growth through an always-on marketing approach.

  • Expert in digital marketing channels with a focus on content marketing, social, search and marketing analytics

  • Proven success implementing cutting-edge marketing practices with a customer-focused approach.

  • Experience working with sales teams and leadership to develop integrated plans.

  • Highly analytical, data-driven marketing expertise.

  • Strong financial acumen and expertise creating marketing budgets and managing costs within budget.

  • Superior written/oral communication skills and the ability to present his/her views in a clear and compelling manner.

  • Knowledge and experience in marketing campaign creation, lead management, and pipeline conversion

  • Great interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills

  • Email marketing, with marketing automation experience such as Eloqua or similar

  • Experience with fundamental principles of design

  • SEO/SEM

  • Web content creation and content management skills; experience with Adobe Experience Manager a plus

  • Left Brain + Right Brain by nature; understand data and analysis and be able to use it to calibrate campaigns and create better content/copy

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 104,000 USD - 144,900 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates.
