About the role:  

Research Engagement Services (RES) team provides world-class service by engaging directly with clients, prospects and vendors to coordinate requests with Gartner Research & Advisory Experts. Successful Individual demonstrate a passion for client service, strong problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn with a high degree of ambition and drive. In the role of RES Manager, you will be responsible for the people, process and technology required to manage and coordinate all the functional support areas within RES. 

What you will do:

  • Overall accountability for team(s) output. Manage the workload of associates to ensure needs of internal and external clients are met in a timely manner and daily service level targets are attained.

  • Manage, mentor and motivate associates through individual development, performance management and daily training to achieve the goals of Gartner and the associates.

  • Clear understanding of Research and RES service tools, applications, and processes along with the ability to discuss and articulate these to other business units.

  • Act as a broker on behalf of Research whenever an issue or escalation should arise with an internal or external client.

  • Lead and manage ongoing projects that touch multiple functions, systems, and business units to a successful conclusion.

  • Identify and cultivate up and coming talent across the organization to create a strong leadership team across the organization. 

  • Recognize potential impacts to the business before they occur and take proactive measures to ensure business continuity.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, MBA preferred

  • Minimum 8+ years of client service and management experience with 3 – 4 years in direct people management

  • Strong experience in driving operation excellence & process management

  • Good understanding and knowledge of the IT industry.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to problem solve and bring timely resolution to escalations.

  • Process-driven, methodical and pays strong attention to detail
