Insights Manager


About the role:

Gartner’s core asset is its people.  Our people develop insights, share advice, and create experiences that help our clients be more successful.  The People Analytics team derives actionable insight from data to recommend and implement better ways of attracting, developing, and retaining our talent so that we can drive higher sales, more productivity, and better client experiences.

The Manager, People Analytics – Insights Delivery is responsible for bringing together the right analytics, the right people, and the right problem-solving approach to drive positive business outcomes.

What you’ll do:

  • Drive better hiring, retention, and employee productivity outcomes through the delivery of analytical insights
  • Analyze and “make sense” of data; translate findings into insights and recommendations that prioritize actions with the greatest impact for our business and our associates
  • Consult with key Gartner business leaders, cross-functional stakeholders, and subject matter experts to understand goals and deliver comprehensive analytics (reports, analytics, and presentations) to diagnose issues, identify risks, and support conversations to inform and shape decision-making
  • Lead and contribute to People Data project workstreams, and drive best practices, change management, and analytical understanding across Gartner
  • Leverage proven tools and practices to deliver insights consistently, accurately, and efficiently to leadership and business partners

What you’ll need:

  • Experience and Education:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 - 4 years of working experience; preferably working in data analytics and visualization, business intelligence, or analytical consulting (experience working with workforce or talent analytics a plus)
  • Advanced Excel and presentation/meeting facilitation skills
  • Experience (or strong interest in) working with SQL or statistical/coding languages (R, Python) for data analysis, modeling, and process automation
  • Analytical Problem Solver with Bias for Action:
  • A proven track record of delivering solutions that enable better business decision-making
  • A creative problem solver that can design simple and effective solutions to challenging business problems
  • Communication and collaboration:
  • Excellent manager of relationships and someone with the ability to influence without authority
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and effective presentation skills

Who you’ll work with:

  • Internal People Analytics and Operations partner teams (Data Engineering, Data Science, HCM Reporting, HRIS)
  • Key stakeholders and leaders within HR and throughout the business including: Talent Acquisition, HR Partners, Training/Learning & Development, Workforce Planning, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Finance, Sales Planning/Operations
