About the Role:
We’re looking for a Senior Principal Analyst to help Heads of HR, Heads of HR Technology (HRIT), heads of Talent Management and other senior HR leaders develop a HR technology strategy that boosts the effectiveness of investments in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent. The Gartner HR technology research team conducts primary and secondary research on a range of topics including, but not limited to, HR technology strategic planning, HRIT functional management, technology selection, and end-user adoption. Our advice helps HR leaders at hundreds of client organizations spanning every major industry vertical and region meet the challenges of an increasingly complex and changing business environment for talent.
If you’ve had significant HR and technology leadership responsibility and are eager to write research and advise senior HR leaders--outside of a traditional consulting engagement model--then this is the role for you.
We are specifically looking for someone to join our team who has talent analytics experience and that can speak to and write about using talent analytics solutions to improve and promote diversity, equity, multiculturalism and inclusion, career pathing and succession planning, including setting learning talent analytics strategy, understanding the talent analytics technology market, and driving adoption in employees and managers.
Responsibilities:

Conduct research and provide support in client conversations to help HR leaders advance the impact of HR technology in the function – topics include building a high impact HR technology strategy, selecting and using technology to improve talent analytics, and improving the employee experience through technology.

Expertise across a range of talent analytics technologies and innovations including packaged talent analytics solutions, HCM suite talent analytics modules and business intelligence platforms used for talent analytics.

Write research and provide advisory support specifically in Talent Analytics used in DEI, multiculturalism, career pathing and succession planning.

Provide direction to senior HR leaders in prospect and client conversations spanning multiple HR leadership roles.

Create materials for and deliver both face-to-face and video-based presentations and discussions with clients.

Help rapidly expand the HRIT expertise domain for a high-growth practice area.

Ensure integrity of our research and maintain Gartner independence.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in related field, Masters preferred

7 years + of experience in HR or HRIT leadership or advisory roles in a business environment

Deep understanding of both HR and talent analytics technology to include the market, vendors, products and user strategies

Experience in designing and implementing HR technology strategies and roadmaps either in individual organizations or in a consulting/advisory capacity

Knowledge and experience working with innovative talent analytics technologies is preferred.

Strong writing skills and ability to take feedback and provide peer review to others

Demonstrated ability to work in a self-motivated manner but within a collaborative team environment.

Strong communicator who can explain complex concepts both concisely and simply to senior HR executives.

Strong willingness to challenge conventional norms and views, persistence and intellectual curiosity to evaluate leading approaches.
