Director, QUADS

Description

We are currently seeking a Director of Quantitative Research to join our CIO Research Group Quantitative Analytics and Data Science (QUADS) team.  This individual will set strategy, lead quantitative research workstreams, and drive innovation in data collection, use and re-use, and data-driven content creation. This role will report to the Managing Vice President of Quantitative Research in the CIO Research Group.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Set and execute quantitative analytics strategy for aligned quantitative workstreams, in partnership with subject matter experts and practice leadership. 
  • Drive overall scoping of workstreams and deliverables with a focus on driving timely outcomes. 
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and partners (e.g., qualitative researchers, Analysts, Chiefs of Research, etc.) to execute the strategy.  Lead and oversee new-to-world quantitative research workstreams, including survey modeling, design, and writing.
  • Convert research and survey results into clear narratives and visually compelling internal and/or client-facing presentations with actionable recommendations. 
  • Work across the CIO practice and the enterprise to identify and contribute to high-impact, practice and enterprise-wide initiatives. 
  • Lead, motivate, develop and coach team members on all aspects of quantitative research (including survey design, data analysis, and advanced quantitative methods) as well as tool and applications development. Help evaluate and elevate team’s insights and ideas to ensure consumability, actionability, and relevance. 
  • Educate and upskill qualitative stakeholders on effectively leveraging data in research, ranging from survey design to the application of advanced quantitative methods. 
  • Innovate on ways to drive data use/re-use and connect research objectives to existing or new-to-world data.
  • Maximize ROI of collected data and QUADS impact by facilitating and expanding stakeholder partnerships across the practice (including our Midsize product)

Education/Experience Requirements: 

  • Advanced degree (Master’s level or above) in an analytics-heavy field (e.g., Economics, Statistics, Policy Analysis, etc.)
  • Mastery of a statistical package (e.g., SPSS, STATA, R, etc.) for advanced analytics (e.g., multivariate regressions, logistic regressions, cluster analysis, factor analysis, etc.)
  • Mastery of advanced survey and sample design and demonstrated record of relevant, practical application of survey design methods and ability to coach others on these
  • Demonstrated ability to build out and execute on analysis plans
  • Knowledge of the latest tools and techniques in analytics and data visualization (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • 8+ years of related work experience; past experience in management consulting or business research roles preferred 
  • Strong analytical skills, specifically the ability to solve problems using qualitative and quantitative information and perform root cause and ROI analysis
