About this role:
Gartner Digital Markets is looking to grow our business development team! Our ideal teammate is self-motivated and brings an entrepreneurial spirit, along with experience in the technology space.
The Sr. Business Development Director within Digital Markets is an office-based sales role responsible for identifying, qualifying and acquiring new prospects and connecting them with our innovative digital marketing solutions to help them grow their business.
The Business Development Director is a mid-senior producer focused on acquiring high-quality clients with significant short & long term revenue potential.
What You Will Do:

You will research accounts and generate or follow through on sales leads both warm and cold.

You will own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, and meet quota goals.

You will evaluate a prospective customer’s strengths, provide insights for areas where they can improve, and build productive long lasting relationships.

You will be expected to master and consistently execute internal sales methodology, and demonstrate sales leadership through coaching, mentoring and developing junior sales account executives
-
You will maintain a consistent pipeline, build pipeline velocity and forecast with accuracy on a monthly basis.

Grows Gartner’s Data Insights product adoption

What you will need:
-
5-8 years of tech B2B consultative sales experience (services or software)

Established as a role model on your current team for immaculate best practice implementation and coaching ability

Able to solve complex problems and successfully manage ambiguity and unexpected change.

Be teachable and open to best practices and feedback as a means of continuous improvement.

Be consistent at delivering results through perseverance, humility, and a positive outlook in the face of challenges.

Must be comfortable selling to, challenging and building trust-based, value-added relationships with executives, specifically with Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Sales Officer, Sales Operations, and Marketing VP’s and Managers.

Ability to tailor a sales pitch for a prospect and combat common objections with confidence

Have the ability to be professionally persistent while prospecting and managing C-level and senior-level relationships within large global enterprises

Proven experience building excellent client relationships, offering value added, insightful and strategic vision into their business

Knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process from prospecting to close
