VP of Product/Software Engineering

This VP of Product Engineering role is a new role created to lead the expansion of our product portfolio focused on complementing our world class research with Peer led insights. The platform will start off with a focus on areas such as Reviews, Ratings, Polls, Discussions and Community and will continue its journey to become the destination social community for Global Business and Technology leaders.

What you will do:   

  • Be a thought leader and partner to the product team to continuously refine the vision, product roadmaps, MVPs and MVFs. 
  • Be a coach, mentor, and leader of a rapidly growing engineering team (~50) 
  • Be a resident expert on architecture  and modern technology 
  • Be a change agent driving innovative ways to improve time to market. 
  • Partner to technology leaders across the IT organization and help them on transformational initiatives. 

What you will need:   

  • Deep Experience being a Technology leader of teams of engineering managers and engineers from all parts of the applications stack. (Java, front-end react, and mobile). 
  • Proven experience with customer-facing applications or products (B2C apps, ecomm, social, SAAS) 
  • Proven experience in applying a customer-first or product mindset towards engineering and application development. 
  • Proven experience in delivering products with a DevOps and lean product development mindset. 
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with a world-class design, product, and technology team. 

Stack Experience:

  • Java Spring, SpringBoot, PostgreSQL, Oracle, ReactJs, Jenkins, AWS 
  • CI/CD and Test Automation and Test-Driven Development 
  • Strong exposure/expertise in building Responsive Front-end apps 
  • Strong experience with Microservices and Service oriented architecture. 
  • Proven expertise in developing cloud native applications, leveraging the cloud for scale and velocity. 
  • Strong knowledge of web security and best practices of secure web development
