About the role:
The Gartner Digital Markets International Team is looking for a passionate digital marketer with native-level English to drive the growth of Software Advice in the UK market. We are looking for a Marketing Specialist with specific experience in SEO and content marketing and a special focus on media relations and digital PR. The chosen candidate will have the responsibility of designing and executing all our marketing activities to drive traffic from the UK to our local websites.

The successful applicant will work with Gartner’s International Editorial and Sales teams by ensuring that marketing is aligned with our editorial content and sales objectives. The Marketing Specialist will report directly to the International Marketing Program Manager for English-Speaking Markets and will be required to meet monthly targets.

What you will do:

  • Work alongside the UK editorial team to ensure the content strategy is helping achieve user acquisition and retention goals.

  • Design and execute digital content promotion and amplification campaigns (digital outreach, PR, and social) in the UK market. 

  • Perform content outreach over multiple channels and develop media relations to build a high-quality backlink profile. 

  • Perform ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities. 

  • Propose and execute on-page and off-page SEO optimization projects in collaboration with the global SEO team. 

  • Partner with internal marketing centers of excellence (SEO, SEM, PR, Partners, Brand, Social Media, Creative, etc.) to execute an omnichannel strategy in the UK. 

  • Work with external agencies, partners, and vendors to execute marketing programs. 

  • Develop and execute a marketing plan aimed at building the brand presence in the UK. 

  • Develop and maintain reporting for all major KPIs associated with the UK market. 

  • Partner with the Sales team to acquire new business in the UK. 

  • Participate in media briefings as needed. 

What you will need:

  • Fluent (preferably native) level of English. 

  • Knowledge of the UK market (media demographics, news cycles, communication styles).

  • Has minimum 3 years Digital Marketing work experience, including:

    • Website analytics metrics and tools

    • Digital PR (agency or client-side)

    • Content marketing 

    • SEO performance monitoring 

    • SEO on-page and off-page optimization (including keyword research, competitor analysis, and link building)

  • Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition. 

  • Ability to coordinate projects with different departments.

  • Preferably with an understanding of the B2B software market in the UK.

  • BA education level.

  • Based in Barcelona (or willing to relocate) and able to work full time.
