What we’re looking for: 

As a Social Media Specialist, you’ll be part of the team responsible for the execution of the social media strategy for our four consumer-facing brands - Software Advice, Capterra, GetApp and UpCity. You’ll collaborate with the content marketing, PR & brand and creative teams to promote digital content across a variety of B2B industries to grow brand awareness and drive engagement among our target market of business decision makers.  

Why you’ll want to come to work:

  • Manage regular posting and monitoring of GDM’s branded social media accounts and platforms.

  • Support the ongoing development and execution of an editorial calendar, including copywriting and content creation of assets

  •  Work closely with the Social Media Lead to execute current social media channel strategy for engaging social followers across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram. 

  • Partner with PR, creative and brand marketing teams to provide feedback and assist in the creation of social first concepts

  • Contribute to growing our employee advocacy program to drive awareness and visibility of our content through internal brand advocates

  • Consistently report on channel performance, progress, and key initiatives to internal teams

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and develop new social tests, initiatives, and strategic growth opportunities to increase our global social footprint

  • Analyze social media performance and report on agreed KPIs

  • Interrogate best practices across platforms and consistently educate the organization on the most innovative and effective go-to-market strategies.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, marketing or journalism 

  • 2+ years of professional experience in social media account management; relevant B2B, B2C or technology experience is a plus.

  • Excellent conceptual creative abilities – how to combine concept, image and copy to connect, create attention and persuade 

  • Practiced writing & communication skills - Native English or high writing proficiency - a desire and talent to be succinct and reductive in your communication, but also creative. 

  • The perfect combination of right and left-brain thinking. Creative and analytical. Interested in commercial creativity. Adept at measuring results of social media campaigns, providing evaluation and analytics for future campaigns but also looking beyond the numbers at the bigger picture.

  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

  • Eagerness to learn about new innovations and software.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Team player with enthusiastic attitude and entrepreneurial spirit. Eager to learn, contribute, and make an impact.

  • Experience with Sprout Social or other social media management tools is a plus. 

  • Content marketing, design and video editing skills are an advantage.
