Manager, Sales Intelligence


About this role:

This role sits in the Global Sales, Strategy & Operations (GSSO) organization with a strong focus on improving sales productivity across all segments and markets globally. This role will be responsible for supporting sales needs, diagnosing issues, uncovering opportunities, testing and deploying innovative best-in-class sales solutions and analytics.

GSSO within Gartner encompasses Territory Planning, Sales Technology, Sales Process & Analytics, Sales Programs, and other core functions supporting Gartner’s sales teams. This role is with the Territory Planning and Analytics team and will partner with business leaders across the company to support a Sales force composed of more than 5,000 associates who sell to every major function of an enterprise.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform advanced analytics/analyses in support of business issues and business intelligence efforts

  • Lead and support interviews and information gathering activities

  • Create and present ideas and findings in a clear and concise manner to leaders and executives

  • Collaborate with all areas of the business

  • Derive key insights from various models and/or analyses to help set overall sales strategy

  • Drive a culture of continuous innovation and globally consistent standards

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with a master’s degree preferred. Degree with a concentration in engineering, computer science, management science, statistics, data science, operational research or finance preferred

  • 4-6 years of experience performing quantitative analysis, business analysis, operations or consulting

  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Passion to translate data to insights and then, to strategies for identifying and solving business problems

  • Excellent critical, data-driven, and strategic thinking with good problem-solving and communications skills

  • Prior experience in B2B Sales and Go-to-market Strategy preferred

  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM, SQL, and leading BI Tools preferred
