Description
The Senior Account will be responsible for perform one or multiple countries finance & accounting activities. As part of this, they will prepare and support monthly/quarterly/year-end closing process for Gartner Subsidiaries, which includes assisting with the Audit process. They will also assist the Finance Manager to develop and manage compliance and controls within country local and global corporate requirements.
What you’ll do :

Prepare monthly / quarterly / year-end closing
-
Perform accounting activities and ensure accuracy and compliance
-
Manage GL accounting, execute and/or record transactions and maintain necessary supporting documentation
-
Prepare monthly account reconciliations to the general ledger
-
Prepare and control Intercompany Transactions
-
Prepare and File VAT declarations and other statutory reports
-
Prepare Annual Financial Statements for review by auditors
-
Assist Tax Team by preparing Annual Tax information for review

Assist with preparation of the Statutory Financials audit process
-
Assist with any other Audit as required

Assist with establishing internal controls and monitoring compliance with Global Policies

Drive and support continuous improvement by supporting management initiatives and developing & documenting new processes

Execute and/or support special projects
What you’ll need :
-
4-5 years’ operating experience within a senior finance function of a global multinational company is required
-
University degree in Accounting – Finance
-
Strong understanding of Local Accounting Standards (e.g. Norway GAAP), good understanding of US GAAP, etc., and knowledge of Local VAT Tax Rules

Good hands-on reporting-systems knowledge. Oracle Financials and Hyperion experience would be considered as a plus

Good working knowledge of intermediate to Advanced Excel

Ability to prioritize and organize workload

Strong ability to collect information from many varied sources and ensure its accuracy

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills – Attention to details

Strong initiative and willingness to take on projects in a proactive manner

Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment; Excellent time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines

Ability to manage constantly shifting priorities and requirements
