About this role

This is a unique opportunity for a creative and charismatic individual to be part of key product development team for Gartner Peer Insights , a startup within Gartner. We are looking for a Product Manager to lead development of innovative technology solutions for Platform Initiatives (Market Operations) at Peer Insights. We work closely with vendors (software / technology providers) to make Peer Insights the industry standard and a platform of choice for them to solicit reviews from all of their customers. The ultimate goal would be to enable near infinite scaling of processes with high efficiency and frictionless experience for external/internal users. What you will do

  • Breaking down complex processes into simpler business goals and user problems. Building technology for success of the process (and continuously optimize for minimizing human inputs/intervention)

  • Responsible for development, adoption & success of product or multiple features by owning the entire user funnel and product lifecycle from acquisition to retention

  • Uncovering user needs through exploratory and focused conversations with key business process owners/leaders and users

  • Creating innovative products through a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods while frequently referring to best practices and latest techniques in product management around discovery and scaling

  • Defining and tracking key product metrics and draw insights from product usage data. Drive user interviews to develop an in-depth understanding of key user needs

  • Understanding business, technology and design principles to partner with different stakeholders to explore solutions, groom requirements, plan product launch & operationalize to drive adoption

  • Identifying MVP to shape features based on user needs and business goals, & iterate continuously

  • Implementing a “lean” approach to product development & striving for early validation of learnings along with the design and the engineering team and continuously iterate to achieve the goals

  • Building consensus amongst product leaders/managers, engineering and business on defining and prioritizing the product roadmap among different features based on client and business value

  • Monitoring the competitive and technological landscape and its implications for the product

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA (or equivalent) will be a plus

  • 3-6 years work experience (including working as a digital product manager)

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; being a self-starter who can anticipate business needs and fulfill them proactively

  • Independent and curious, setting one's own targets, asking for help when needed and are looking for learning something new

  • A bias for action, including balancing tradeoffs, a willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do what it takes to get things done

  • Experience with productizing business operations to drive efficiency, quality and cost-savings

  • Having exposure to or being curious about emerging technologies and how they are driving efficiency across different organizational processes

  • Comfortable with understanding technical aspects of a product development process and communicating with engineering teams on trade-offs vs. implications

  • Comfortable working with large datasets, strong analytical capabilities and helping leaders to translate analysis into actionable insights

  • Demonstrated ability to translate qualitative and quantitative analysis into actionable business strategies

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization and with cross-functional teams

  • Experience, maturity and ability to prioritize and manage workload in order to meet deadlines

  • Proficient in multitasking; experience of working in an international environment calendaring amongst different WW time zones

  • Ability to excel in a constantly changing and rapidly growing workplace
