About the Team:
Gartner analysts are industry thought leaders that create expert research while bringing best practices, and research models to life across a broad range of world leading organizations. A Senior Director Analyst is a trusted source of advice and deepens personal value for clients every day by providing high quality, timely insight, and must-have-research; content that is provocative as well as pragmatic. You would meet with clients daily, via virtual meetings, face-to-face interactions at Gartner events, or at sales support visits. A senior director promotes a clear vision for the evolving markets at the local, regional, and global levels. These interactions help clients reach better decisions, solve complex issues, and create solutions that lead to better performance and successful outcomes. To support these conversations you will research markets, practices and trends as well as produce written research for Gartner clients to download and apply.
Key Responsibilities:

Write high quality, clear, actionable, “must-have research” documents in the areas of:
-
Virtual networks, network as a service, campus networks, managed mobility services.
-
CSP-CSP (Communication Service Provider) wholesale or indirect channel business strategy, models, and markets.
-
Industry-specific use cases, security/SASE, and regulatory compliance.
-

Advise communication service providers (CSP, SI, MSP) and Telcos on best practices and actionable advice on:
-
Growth strategies to general managers, business unit leaders, the C-suite.
-
Socializing client demand insights (VoC) to product, marketing, and sales enablement teams.
-
Go to market strategies to marketing, sales, and services delivery leaders.
-

Advise enterprise communication IT and business unit leaders on best practices related to
-
Initiating transformational change within the enterprise
-
Managing enterprise communication solutions
-
Optimizing the buying process with IT, CFO, Business Technologist roles
-
Proposal evaluations, vendor selection and negotiation
-

Predict how specific markets are developing, and help clients in their selection process and assist vendors in overall market positioning
-
Demonstrate thought leadership in establishing research positions across a team of analysts
-
Respond to client questions, create materials for and deliver to clients in person, via teleconference, video conference or webinar and event presentations

Proactively work with the wider sales organization and service partners to drive proactive engagement and help clients/prospects make progress against their critical priorities to grow their business

Create and deliver high value presentations and other materials at Gartner conferences, and in small groups of clients and/or prospects

Provide high quality and timely research peer review

Build credibility as an industry leader to represent Gartner research, methodology and strategy

Lead or participate in research community meetings to discuss research issues and collaborate effectively with peers
Key Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred
-
12+ years of relevant experiences in Telco/Communication Service field or industry such as:
-
Business leaders from service provider
-
Executive IT leaders (CIO or -1/2 for instance) has had experiences working with communication service providers
-

Ability to work independently and as a team player, supporting the workflow of others, in a multicultural global team
-
Strong organizational skills: ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high quality material
-
Strong written and verbal interaction, analytical and presentation skills; ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions
-
Demonstrated superior analytical skills, applying conceptual models, recognizing patterns while drawing and defending conclusions
-
Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data; can effectively apply patterns and frameworks to client challenges and demonstrate learning agility

Strong business and financial acumen
-
Demonstrates executive presence; can immediately establish credibility with executives and additional stakeholders

Great team player with intrinsic motivation to collaborate with peers to write provocative and pragmatic research notes

Subject matter expertise comfortable presenting at large and small-scale speaking engagements

Flexible thinker adept at change and experienced navigating highly matrixed environments
