About this role:

The Team Manager, Learning and Development (L&D) is an integral part of Gartner’s Global Services and Delivery (GS&D) Learning and Development team. In this position, you will lead a team of individuals supporting the design and delivery of learning and development programs for New Hires, Tenured associates, and Leaders in the Client Services Organization. You will collaborate with L&D team members, the GSD Executive Leadership team, HR Business Partners and other business unit stakeholders across the organization to consult and on learning experiences. This role requires a high degree of problem solving, stakeholder management, collaboration, excellent communication skills and a client-centric approach.

This role will report to the Managing Vice President, GS&D Learning and Development.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead a team of Learning and Development professionals to deliver on the mission of the Global Services L&D team supporting the Client Services Organization

  • Provide career planning and development – manage team members in a professional manner with a strong focus on individual success, career development, and overall employee satisfaction with an eye on succession planning

  • Lead the team’s efforts to define, design, and deliver the learning & development strategy for the Client Services Organization 

  • Take a lead role and provide project management leadership to highly complex training, event and business transformation projects and initiatives

  • Mange team resources to balance capacity while working on initiatives and supporting requests from business partners

  • Document the approach to execute strategic priorities (cross-functional and business unit level priorities)

  • Develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders to support the continual gathering of information, feedback, and input to drive curriculum development and program evolution

  • Refine and communicate the analysis of detailed feedback on all training sessions, with an emphasis on the quantifiable impact of the training sessions

  • Present on behalf of the L&D team to Senior Leadership

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a client service leadership/delivery role or in a training role focused on executing training and enablement to a client services team

  • Minimum of 3 years coaching and developing associates in a professional environment

  • Ability to evaluate needs and present effective solutions to business unit partners

  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of associates on various subject matters and to convey knowledge and ideas in a logical and engaging manner to others

  • Project Management Experience with the ability to prioritize competing projects and initiatives

  • Strong strategic thinking, prioritization, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to motivate, influence and coach individuals and leaders who do not have a direct reporting relationship to drive change

  • Excellent organization skills, time management and task flexibility with the ability to change priorities as needed

  • Solution oriented mindset, with the ability to understand how to manage priorities of multiple stakeholders and always look for a win-win

  • MS suite (PPT, Word, Excel, SharePoint) and Google Suite

  • Learning Management System, learning technology, and survey software a plus
