Senior Financial Analyst


About this role:
Gartner is looking for a well-rounded Senior Financial Analyst who can provide critical business partner support to the Consulting Business Unit. The candidate will be responsible for supporting Executive and Operating Committee members with budgeting, forecasting, financial management, reporting, analysis, and mission critical priorities.

What you'll do:  
• Prepare value-added analysis to provide management with the critical insight necessary to make proper business decisions
• Provide insight into key operating metrics including expense management, revenue, business metrics, and headcount
• Contribute to projects and organizational objectives
• Report and analyze financial data for Consulting
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecast, as well as assisting in preparing monthly reporting
• Leverages technology and process improvements to drive continuous improvements and innovations

What you'll need:  
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a financial planning and analysis, business analytics, financial reporting, or accounting capacity
• Superior financial modeling and data analysis skills using Microsoft Excel

• Working knowledge of Hyperion Enterprise/Planning or Financial Planning Systems is a plus
• Ability to effectively communicate with senior business leaders
• Advanced Excel skills

• Hands-on experience with designing and developing dashboards using self-service analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI etc.) preferred

• MBA or advanced finance, economics, or analytics degree a plus
• Bachelor's Degree required. Major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related area preferred
