About this role
We are seeking Senior Research Specialists in the Human Resources Research Practice’s Employee Experience team. In this role, you’ll research and generate actionable business ideas on topics such as hybrid work, organizational culture, and employee engagement that will influence executives and help them transform their organizations. Gartner's research is often cited in major news outlets including Forbes, Harvard Business Review, The Washington Post, and The Economist, allowing our firm to extend our impact even further.
This role enables you to explore your intellectual curiosity in a collaborative, team-based environment. You’ll be offered robust training, support, coaching, mentorship, and on-the-job development to achieve career success and advance within the Research Community.
How you’ll make an impact
You will work closely with HR leaders and your team to identify and produce research that solve complex business challenges on a global scale. As part of this team, you will:
- Engage executives from Fortune 500 and mid-size companies to identify their most pressing business challenges.
- Author articles, case studies, webinar decks, or tools that address key challenges for HR leaders on the topic of Employee Experience.
- Collaborate on a research team through Gartner’s proprietary research process including hypothesis generation, primary and secondary research, and root cause analysis to identify best-in-class solutions.
- Coordinate and conduct conducting research interviews with HR executives, academics, or industry experts
- Support the team through other tasks such as: organizing meetings and teleconferences and preparing research materials and summaries for the team.
- Contribute to initiatives that improve the climate and culture of the team, the business unit, and the organization.
What you’ll need
- A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in academic or applied research utilizing qualitative and quantitative data.
- Strong business acumen and intellectual curiosity in order to process and understand information quickly, as well as diagnose issues to make actionable recommendations.
- Experience converting qualitative and quantitative information into clear frameworks, narratives and visually compelling presentations.
Who you are
- A great writer, ideally with experience creating business related deliverables such as white papers, articles, etc.
- Critical thinker and problem solver demonstrating the ability to assess business problems and provide actionable, outcome-based insights.
- Excellent communicator and relationship manager who enjoys working with C-level Executives and can disseminate complex data through relevant means.
- Enjoy working independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be willing to work out of Arlington, VA
