About this role:

Gartner Digital Markets is looking to grow our business development team! Our ideal teammate is self-motivated and brings an entrepreneurial spirit, along with experience in the technology space. As a Business Development Executive within Digital Markets, you will identify, qualify new prospects and connect them with our innovative digital marketing solutions to help them grow their business. 

The Sr. Business Development Executive is a mid-senior producer focused on acquiring high-quality vendors with significant short & long term revenue potential.

What you will do:

  • You will research accounts and generate or follow through on sales leads both warm and cold. 

  • You will evaluate a prospective customer’s strengths, provide insights for areas where they can improve, and build productive long lasting relationships. 

  • You will be expected to master and consistently execute internal sales methodology, and demonstrate sales leadership through coaching, mentoring and developing junior sales account executives

  • Grows Gartner’s Data Insights product adoption


What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree is required

  • Experience as a Data Insights Business Development Executive (internal)  is required, with a proven track record of attaining and exceeding targets

  • 5 years of proven consultative sales experience in technology (services or software) and mastery of the GDM product offering suite

  • Established as a role model on the team for immaculate best practice implementation and coaching ability

  • Able to solve complex problems and successfully manage ambiguity and unexpected change.

  • Be teachable and open to best practices and feedback as a means of continuous improvement.

  • Be consistent at delivering results through perseverance, humility, and a positive outlook in the face of challenges.

  • Must be comfortable selling to, challenging and building trust-based, value-added relationships with executives ranging from CEOs and company founders to entry level marketers.

  • Have the ability to be professionally persistent while prospecting and managing C-level and senior-level relationships within large global enterprises and also small businesses

  • Proven experience building excellent client relationships, offering value added, insightful and strategic vision into their business

  • Knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process from prospecting to close

  • Organizational skills, detail orientation, and time management
