About the role:

The goal of the North America Consulting Win Room is to increase opportunity size and win rates in priority accounts in Gartner Consulting’s commercial industries.  The Win Room team works closely with managing partners and pursuit teams to develop differentiated proposals that demonstrate Gartner Consulting’s value and capabilities. The team operationalizes capture and proposal management activities, leverages resources across Gartner Consulting and Gartner Research and integrates offerings across all Gartner Consulting practices.

What you’ll do:

The Win Room Manager will lead the Win Room team through overall project management of proposal development through each phase of the proposal process, from intake through proposal submission, for large commercial sector opportunities.  The Win Room team is also responsible for development and ongoing maintenance of standardized proposal components and training for Win Room associates.  Specific activities include:

  • For commercial sector opportunities, develops and owns project plan for proposal development.

  • Assigns and tracks responsibility for proposal development tasks in a project plan.

  • Tracks status of key proposal development tasks against milestones/deadlines.

  • Coordinates, schedules and facilitates regular touchpoints with the proposal team and Red Team reviewers.

  • Develops and maintains working draft proposal template that is tailored for each specific pursuit.  Gartner’s standard proposal template will be leveraged where applicable.

  • Adapts standard content for the proposal.

  • Works with appropriate client procurement teams on any proposal requirements.

  • Monitors appropriate procurement as well as client sources for information/updates that may impact proposal development (e.g., amendments to RFP).

  • Coordinates distribution of draft proposal content to Red Team reviewers and other key reviewers.

  • Assembles final proposal package.

  • Manages submission of finalized proposal.

  • Coordinates involvement of Orals Red Team.

  • Maintains repositories of Win Room content, including references available and used, case studies, templates and visuals.

  • Coordinates applicable debriefs and processes for Win Room improvements.

  • Ensures outcomes and KPIs are documented/measured.

What you’ll need:

  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

  • 6+ years of experience in large Consulting firm or equivalent consulting experience in engagement management, sales and/or proposal management capacity.

  • Commercial experience / knowledge required.

  • A consistent track record of leading people and managing projects and an ability to inspire and motivate professionals and senior team members towards a common goal.

  • An ability to be hands-on and to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Experience working with multiple technology solutions.

  • Demonstrated sales acumen and creative solutioning to solve client problems.

  • Coachable and embracing of best practices and feedback as a means of continuous improvement.

  • A consistently high achiever marked by perseverance, humility, and a positive outlook in the face of challenges.

  • Track record in achieving / exceeding sales targets.

Certain locations in the United States require job postings to include a reasonable estimate of the base salary range and/or a general description of benefits and other compensation applicable to the role. For this role in those locations, the base salary range for new hires is:

Washington Annualized Base Pay Range: 148,000 USD - 170,200 USD

Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
