Manager, Conference Strategic Planning, Process Optimization


Role Purpose: The primary focus of this role is to partner with cross-functional teams to optimize new and existing processes focused on increasing operational effectiveness. This individual will learn all functions of the Conferences Operations business to effectively lead cross-functional projects designed to support process improvement by immersing themselves in the day-to-day operations of various functional teams. Within each functional team rotation, the team member will observe and learn role responsibilities specific to that team, while honing their leadership and management skills. This individual will push the organization to think differently and question the status quo in a way that helps evolve the company without impacting the ability to meet client and business needs today and in the future.


  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to seek continuous improvement, evaluate opportunities and identify solutions.
  • Manage key initiatives and cross-functional project teams to propel the business forward. 
  • Optimize conference operational planning, including alignment of cross-portfolio priorities, wrap up process automation, and enhancement opportunities.
  • Contribute to the functional teams by learning and supporting the daily responsibilities and operations during the rotational program.
  • Leverage the key learnings from the rotational experiences to identify opportunities to increase the scalability and efficiency within team operations.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in high performance environment.
  • Collaborate with existing centers of excellence to assimilate best practices consistently across the portfolio of conferences and measure impact on key metrics. 
  • Build trusted partnerships with team members and leaders across the organizations.


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in Project Management, Consulting, Administration or Customer Service, conference or event experience preferred.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills with proven ability to build partnerships across lines of businesses.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to speak/write clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong analytical skills to deliver programs and strategies that effectively address business needs.
  • Ability to efficiently prioritize and plan work activities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Consistent demonstration of integrity, collaboration, no-limits mindset, objectivity, and delivering results consistently.
  • Fully competent in Microsoft Office and Google, especially Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Curious and inquisitive with exceptional problem-solving skills.
