Lead Frontend Engineer - (Stamford or US COE)
 

This is a unique opportunity for a systematic, technically strong, and driven individual to make a big impact on Gartner’s peer experiences roadmap as part of the Gartner Product Delivery group. We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer who is an impact-driven, self-motivated problem solver and who can help implement the platform’s product roadmap. 

Peer experiences is a very important initiative at Gartner to make it faster and easier for clients to obtain insights from their peers. This role will work closely with the company leadership as well as the product, design, and QA teams to implement the product roadmap and help improve the client experience. You will also help mentor team members and help with the release process.

What you will do

·Report to the head of engineering for the US

·Assume major responsibility for Peer Insights platforms 

·Work on product feature development

·Participate actively in architectural planning and decisions 

·Participate in client releases 

·Build and enforce guidelines for clean maintainable code 

·Work closely with design, product, and users to build a truly useful product 

·Help with hiring and mentoring new engineers 

·Join a growing organization on the ground floor

What you will need

·Bachelor’s Degree in math, statistics, engineering or a related field required

·3+ years to ReactJS, React Native or similar JavaScript frameworks.

·7-9 years of experience developing customer facing products or web applications.

·Great sense for UI/UX

·Expertise at web development (JS/CSS/HTML)

·Strong sense of ownership and drive to help execute our product roadmap

·Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices and SQL.

·Any experience with Elastic Search, Redis, Golang are a plus

·Knowledge of TDD

·Experience in AWS Serverless Technologies, Lambda functions & EMR

·Able to operate independently given vague/partial product and design requirements

·Problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and analytically
