About the role:

This role is a part of Global Sales Strategy and Operations (GSSO) team in Gartner. The GSSO group includes various teams focused on increasing sales force productivity through multiple business critical initiatives such as Prospecting, Sales Technology, Sales Analytics, Sales Growth Planning, Sales Enablement, etc.

The Territory Planning & Analytics (TP&A) team is at the center of Gartner’s corporate strategy. The Senior Business Analyst will be the strategic partner for Service VPs across Global Services & Delivery (GS&D). GS&D serves as a critical connection point between our clients and Gartner’s indispensable insights, advice, and tools. We ensure our clients get the most value from their relationship with Gartner through high value engagement aligned to clients’ Mission Critical Priorities. TP&A is considered a vital strategic partner in the business’ effort to capture its massive market opportunity. This is an internal consulting team that partners with Gartner’s Sales and Services leaders to determine how the company should direct its substantial investment in incremental sales and service professionals. The roles will collaborate with Services leaders to guide strategic alignment and go-to-market decisions at regional and global levels.

The position reports to the VP of Territory Planning & Analytics and is ultimately part of the Global Sales Strategy & Operations team (GSSO) and Finance.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with Gartner’s Services leaders to analyze existing and future opportunities and design optimal teams that align with corporate sales strategy.

  • Analyze internal and external data to identify trends and characterize market alignment opportunity at various levels (e.g., region, industry, local area, company).

  • Own and execute high-complexity analytical projects to analyze internal and external client, prospect, and market data to provide senior Services leaders information and advice to maximize client retention.

  • Drive ad hoc analyses to facilitate decision-making for Gartner’s Services leaders and C-level executives.


What you’ll need:

  • 3-5 years of management consulting experience required.

  • Exceptional analytical skills, including high proficiency with Microsoft Excel, data analysis, etc.

  • Experience of working with non-conforming data sets and generating analytical insights.

  • Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills to enable direct and frequent conversations with senior leaders in Gartner.

  • Demonstrated ability to form relationships with and influence senior leaders.

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and independently own project from start to finish.

  • Post-graduation in management and business administration preferred
