Technology Strategy Consulting. We help the C-suite make the right decisions based on how technology can transform their businesses. We deliver value to clients in areas such as IT Strategy Consulting, Benchmarking, Analytics and Optimization. Typically, this helps Gartner’s clients to execute on their strategic priorities, across all sectors, including:

  • Big Data and Analytics

  • Applications Rationalization

  • Sourcing and Ecosystem Optimization

What you’ll do

You will be part of a team that execute contract optimization client engagements. You will be responsible  specifically for audit related situations providing the critical technical/analytical/knowledge components required to successfully advise clients. You will also be responsible for contributing to the continuous improvement of the Audit practice working credibly and collaboratively with distant/international team members.


What you’ll need

  • 5+ years of experience within the field of mainstream software vendors (must include Oracle)

  • Background in IT/Software Asset Management, specifically, licensing/cloud subscriptions, software audit support/defense and transformation/transitioning from on-premise to cloud

  • Deep expertise in contract management with an understanding of contract optimization and for the purposes of defending audits and challenging outcomes

  • Technical expertise in relation to risk mitigation e.g., virtualization and the impact to licensing, plus, optimization/cost reduction experience, e.g., maximizing the technology footprint (hardware/software) versus license/subscription requirements

  • Strong analytical skills, especially in areas such as software deployment versus licensing/subscription analysis, cost modelling, risk mitigation, license/subscription optimization and cost reduction

  • Dynamic presentation skills and experience in presenting to clients at all levels (technical, procurement and C-Level executives), plus, the ability to ‘think outside the box’ and respond effectively to questions

  • A thorough understanding of Oracle’s software product portfolio and licensing, both legacy and current software products

  • ITAM and inventory tool knowledge, examples such as Flexera, SNOW, Eracent, SCCM is desirable

  • Strong organizational skills; ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high quality deliverables

Compensation:

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. The New York City base salary range for new hires into this role is $125,500 - $149,500 annually, based on factors such as performance, location, and experience.  In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.  Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates.
