About the Role:

Gartner Research & Advisory has an exciting Senior Principal Analyst opportunity within the Healthcare and Life Sciences practice. This role will focus on revenue cycle management and related technologies. This includes the technology applications, business processes, and innovations that healthcare organizations like hospitals, academic medical centers, and health delivery organizations use to enhance revenue collections, speed time to payment, reduce denials, and optimize medical coding. The successful candidate will develop a leading industry voice on how modern RCM and PHM best practices, technologies, and approaches improve business results and outcomes.

Direct experience working in U.S. revenue cycle management at a healthcare organization, technology vendor, or in a healthcare technology-focused research, advisory, or consulting firm is required. Knowledge of revenue cycle concepts outside the U.S. is a plus.

Knowledge Requirements:

· Experience influencing senior level decisionmakers on revenue cycle management and related issues

· Knowledge of modern revenue cycle processes, vendors, and the real-world challenges that hospitals face when implementing solutions

· Familiarity with

· Clinical coding and documentation practices as they to modern revenue cycle management and value-based care for RCM

· Electronic health record (EHR) technologies as they enable healthcare provider administration

· Key performance indicators and analytics for revenue cycle optimization

· Understanding of how newer technologies and techniques (such as automation and AI/ML) can be applied to healthcare revenue cycle management.

What you will do:

· Create high quality, clear, actionable, “must-have research” content based on research best practices and methodologies

· Develop new research and ideas through thought leadership and offer compelling, actionable approaches to the client's needs and requests that accelerate the client's ability to act

· Find the root cause of a client’s barriers or overall needs and reframe thinking to drive the strategy forward

· Demonstrate thought leadership in establishing research positions across a team of analysts

· Provide clients and prospects with actionable advice aligned to their designated content area via virtual or face-to-face interactions

· Provide sales support, serving as the voice of the market to help research teams create content and drive engagement with clients to make progress against their critical priorities to grow their business

· Create and deliver presentation materials for Gartner events, industry and professional association conferences, and client briefings

· Provide high quality and prompt research content peer review

· Predict how specific markets are developing, help clients in their selection process and assist vendors in overall positioning

· Build credibility as a domain or industry expert to represent Gartner research, methodology, and strategy

· Actively take part in innovation, creativity, and research discussions and collaborate effectively with peers in the research community

What you will need:

· Bachelor's degree

· 5 years of relevant experience

· Ability to work independently and as a team player, supporting the workflow of others, in a multicultural global team

· Demonstrate superior analytical skills while applying conceptual models, recognizing patterns while drawing and defending conclusions

· Strong organizational skills along with the ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables

· Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills, and ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions

· Ability to demonstrate use of quantitative techniques to come up with solutions for clients

· Business and financial acumen

· Ability to demonstrate executive presence (i.e., can immediately establish credibility with executives and additional stakeholders as well as offer contrary points of view in order to influence others)

· Strong learning agility and ability to absorb research methodology

· Willingness and ability to travel infrequently.
