Community Manager


Gartner Peer Insights is a platform for the world’s most influential network of business leaders to share Q&A posts, polls, and altogether interact with each other in an environment that prioritizes the discussion of key issues and critical business decisions. This is a unique opportunity for a systematic, creative, and motivated individual to make a big impact by growing, strengthening relationships, and driving constructive engagement as part of the Gartner Peer Insights group.

We’re looking for an experienced Community Manager who can consistently fuel both new and existing member visits, with an emphasis on participation and engagement in the platform. This person will be an expert and advocate in motivating quality answers from the existing online community, promoting our value to prospective members, and altogether evangelizing Peer Insights as the trusted source for technology and business news, research, insights, and peer advice!

This role focuses on: 

  • Developing trust and building strong 1:1 relationships with our executive communities of technology leaders and beyond (HR, Strategy, Marketing, Sales, Legal, etc.).

  • Keeping a pulse on and understanding of trends and hot topics for leaders, as well as expertly sourcing and mining feedback to address these issues.

  • Managing and moderating community content within the platform, to ensure valuable interactions.

  • Improving the member experience by promoting faster response times to posts through a combination of both broad amplification and targeted proactive outreach. 

  • Facilitating networking within the community to drive engagement and further conversations.

  • Optimizing the community by measuring its progress, tracking content metrics, and providing regular insights on engagement to identify patterns, trends, and monitor product health.

  • Resolving community support cases in a timely manner and delivering important feedback from the community to internal stakeholders.

  • Providing editorial, creative, and technical support to cross-functional team members.

  • Acting as the point of contact with sales, service, and research for the communities that they manage.

This role is a great fit for you if you have:

  • 2-3+ years of experience in building Community and/or Content.

  • Experience either growing a following from zero, or hyper-accelerating the scale of an existing network through any combination of social media, newsletters, blogs, or any other forms of direct-marketing and sales.

  • Deep understanding of the mission-critical priorities and day-to-day challenges of business leaders, prior experience interacting with CxOs and senior executives is a plus.

  • Are a great communicator, confident, personable, and comfortable working with internal teams and proactively with external community members.

  • A problem solver, and you value passing on knowledge in a way that promotes growth-hacking, re-sharing, and that creates a force-multiplier effect.

  • Extremely well organized, have a high attention to detail, and love creating systems that make everyone’s lives easier.

  • Have a proven ability to thrive in a highly cross-functional, start-up and fast-paced environment, dealing with ambiguity and being a self-starter.

  • You take ownership of your work and manage your time independently.
