Our clients consistently identify Digital Transformation and its associated elements – including Digital Business Strategy, IT Strategy, Customer Experience, and Composable Business – as key areas where they need support. Gartner’s Digital Business & IT Strategy Practice (DBIT) helps our clients articulate the problem they are trying to solve, understand the nuance and complexity inherent in these challenges, and define an ambition and path forward to driving customer and business impact. The problems we help clients answer range from how to transform their business model, how to create compelling customer and employee experiences, how to orchestrate core systems, processes, and data to enable these new business and customer solutions, and how to turn vision and ambition into measurable actions and results.

What you’ll do

Our Consulting Associate Directors are responsible for high-level project delivery and oversight along with client relationship management. You will manage teams and advise clients at the highest strategic level on both big-picture and tactical matters, focusing on how technology enables a wide range of business outcomes.

What you’ll need

  • Experience within a well-regarded management consultancy in a project delivery capacity involving at least several of the following:
    • Digital Business Transformation
    • Digital Business Strategy
    • IT Strategy
    • Customer Experience Transformation (Personas, Journey Maps, Value Prop Development, Visualizations)
    • Enterprise Architecture
    • Solution Architecture
    • Design Thinking
    • Business Case Development
    • Agile and Product-Led Ways of Working
  • Great problem-solving skills
  • Ability to craft and deliver logical, compelling arguments and stories
  • Proven experience in client facilitation (Interviews, Workshops, Design Thinking, etc.)
  • Experience with digital business models
  • Experience with digital experience platforms and considerations (e.g., headless architectures)
  • A consistent track record of leading people and building high-performing teams that leverage technology to drive client mission-critical priorities
  • An ability to inspire and motivate professionals from both technical and non-technical backgrounds towards a common goal 
  • An unwavering commitment to the success of your team, and willingness to provide constructive/ corrective action when needed
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and the creative development of solutions and strategies to solve client problems. Must adapt Gartner frameworks and methodologies to strike at the heart of a client’s most pressing business challenges
  • An ability to be hands-on and to manage multiple client priorities simultaneously
  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • Comfortable influencing and building trust-based, value-added relationships with senior executives, both internally and externally
  • Coachable and embracing of best practices and feedback as a means of continuous improvement
  • A consistently high achiever marked by perseverance, humility, and a positive outlook in the face of challenges
  • Track record in achieving / exceeding revenue targets preferred
