Gartner Digital Markets is hiring a Product Marketing Manager to focus on launching a new product line. We are seeking a storyteller with proven chops in developing messaging and positioning, running a cross-functional go-to-market strategy, and working with influencers and customers to amplify our narratives. 

Product marketers play a critical and strategic role on our Vendor Marketing team: they are the glue that binds our product strategy to the tactics we need to drive success in sales and marketing and to achieve results. As the evangelist for your product, you will play an integral role in organizing a major new product launch. You will develop product positioning and messaging, and work cross functionally to enable go-to-market programs, campaigns, content, and sales messaging. You measure your success by your ability to develop creative and innovative marketing strategies, gain key buyers’ mindshare, and empower sales to be successful. Reporting into the head of Vendor Marketing, this highly-visible role will be responsible for launching and promoting Gartner Digital Markets products through integrated marketing campaigns and coordinated sales enablement efforts.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Create differentiated narratives, messaging, and positioning that resonate with our target buyer personas.

  • Drive awareness and adoption of priority products and features

  • Build alignment with executive stakeholders to create integrated GTM plans and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.

  • Serve as an expert in both the product as well as how our customers are using it; bring customer insights to your stakeholders by speaking with customers directly to understand how they use the product and what we could build that would delight them

  • Market intelligence—be the expert on our buyers— CMOs, digital marketers at software and services companies: who they are, how they buy, and their key buying criteria.

  • Understand the competitive landscape—be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned, stay on top of competitive moves and create tools to support sales understanding.

  • Act as the primary thought leader for the products you support externally, including speaking engagements.

  • Contribute product and market expertise to content development across various platforms (blogs, videos, website contents, webinars, newsletters, etc.)

  • Understand and support our sales channels; train them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users; develop internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use it.

 What You Will Need:

  • 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in product marketing or business/commercial marketing in a B2B SaaS environment (e.g. delivering presentations to customers and prospects, conducting competitor analysis and market research)

  • Experience running a go-to-market program, preferably within a SaaS business – you must enjoy both engaging in strategic discussions and operationalizing ideas and plans

  • Understanding of how to communicate to end users, decision makers, and the broader market 

  • Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is –or isn’t—working

  • Comfortable using CRM tools such as Sugar or Salesforce and marketing automation tools such as Eloqua and Marketo

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • The ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment, draw out and share diverse perspectives, and rally different teams around a shared goal

  • Be forward-thinking, well organized, and have an obsession for detail

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
