About this role:

The Research Business Analytics (RBA) team is part of the Research & Advisory (R&A) Strategy and Operations organization. RBA is a strategic partner that powers fact-based decision making by providing client centric analytics, tools and insights to improve our business. The Analytics Enablement team within RBA is responsible for creating awareness of analytics, empowering users on tools and metrics, and partnering to refine key business questions. Analytics Enablement is fundamental to the success of RBA as we evolve our data and analytics infrastructure.

The Principal, Analytics Enablement will be the liaison between RBA, R&A, and Business Operations & Strategy (BOS) leads while creating insights to help promote a data-driven culture and awareness of available analytics.

What you will do:

  • Become a trusted thought partner for data analytics related questions and issues while maintaining an understanding of R&A, internal/external business management & informational needs.

  • Act as a liaison between RBA business area leads (e.g. Interactions, Content) and client-facing expert teams ensuring tools, dashboards are aligned with needs.

  • Partner with Practices and RBA leaders to understand needs, gather feedback, identify use cases and provide insights to design new/update existing stakeholder facing products while improving user experience.

  • Partner with RBA colleagues to create and improve existing dashboards to enable stakeholders to quickly and easily use data insights to make timely business decisions

  • Partner & collaborate within R&A and with key business partners to capture operational & business requirements and successfully establish and execute on strategies and tactical plans.

  • Apply knowledge and experience to support the delivery of key projects, build valuable relationships both within R&A and with other stakeholders to evolve the analytics program. 

  • Design and deliver presentations to all management levels within R&A. Manage ongoing interactions and communications with internal stakeholders.

  • Help to creatively solve Gartner’s most challenging problems in developing and operationalizing business critical analytics at scale, including leading project workstreams with RBA leaders and PMO.

  • Establish best practices to accelerate analytics projects by improving efficiency and encouraging the re-use of existing technologies, frameworks, infrastructure, etc.

  • Work internally and externally to champion innovation and find best in class ways of working.

  • Demonstrate persistence to drive culture change and improvement.

  • Drive results through communication and change management across R&A to ensure successful adoption of analytics tools.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher or equivalent work experience. 

  • 5-7 years business experience, with progressive responsibility, in an extremely fast paced, matrixed work environment.

  • Ability to tell the story of the data; experience creating dashboards and powerful visualizations is preferred.

  • Demonstrated track record of managing optimized processes, projects, and programs in a global environment.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of roles and titles.

  • Impeccable attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated experience and track record applying change management best practices to strategies, projects, and programs.

  • Excellent influencing, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Innovative data enthusiast who can multitask and manage competing priorities.

  • Curious and self-motivated to learn.
