Job Brief:   

We’re looking for an experienced Manager, Sales Learning & Development (SL&D) to join our global SL&D team. The SL&D team is responsible for sales new hire onboarding, as well as development programs for tenured associates. This role will be responsible for leading and building a team of Program Managers and Specialists to deliver world-class, scalable training across our Business Development and Client Success teams. This role requires a high degree of independent problem solving, stakeholder management, facilitation, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate must have experience in sales and/or sales training, curriculum development, class facilitation, while being agile, accountable and results oriented. 

What You Will do:  

  • Lead the learning and development strategy for Gartner Digital Markets sales with a focus on increasing scalability and productivity  

  • Manage and develop a global team of program managers and specialists  

  • Own the identification, definition, design and development of training for both new hire and tenured associates  

  • Facilitate training for all sales roles within Gartner Digital Markets  

  • Execute ongoing refresh of existing programs and the design, development and delivery of additional New Hire Training programs to increase the effectiveness of new hires while delivering a first-class onboarding experience 

  • Leverage learning technology as a method to deliver training content (repeatable, scalable), and support the development of new technology-based learning and development solutions 

  • Participate and project manage highly complex training projects such as: the development and delivery of new training curriculum, simulations, global workshops, and case studies

  • Continually gather information, feedback and input from the global sales organization to identify opportunities for improvement 

  • Develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders such as recruiting, sales operations and sales leadership  

What You Will Need:  

  • BA degree in IT, Business, Marketing, Instructional Design, Education Technology or similar 

  • 5+ years of experience in a sales environment or training role focused on delivering training to a sales team (preferably in a field related to B2B sales and marketing) 

  • 2+ years in a people development or manager role 

  • Experience building and managing scalable end to end onboarding programs for sales teams located around the world  

  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills   

  • Experience in writing effective instructional text, audio and video scripts 

  • Familiarity with Learning Management System (ideally Cornerstone) and e-Learning development programs (ideally Articulate) is preferred   

  • Ability to independently manage and prioritize projects in an organized, programmatic way   

  • Excellent organization skills, time management and task flexibility with the ability to change priorities as needed 

  • Willing to accept fully accountability across all projects assigned 

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where ambiguity may prevail  

  • Able to collaborate and build productive relationships with cross-functional stakeholders   

  • Strong team player, willing to share ideas and information with peers and business leaders
