What we’re looking for:  

As part of our Central Analytics team, you will be at the center of our most exciting analytics initiatives. You will have the opportunity to leverage your data architecture and modeling skills to enable self-service analytics, foster end-to-end automation and data quality, for Gartner’s analysts to do richer and faster analysis and to shorten the T2M of data science applications’ development.

You will lead and own our data platform’s common data models designs and developments, creating our Snowflake’s CDM in collaboration with a team of Analytics Data Engineers while working with the latest technologies. You will be hands-on in designing and productionizing these, learning about our most relevant business processes and end to end data lineage at Gartner DMC -- all this while identifying new data domains to which our CDM will be expanded.

You will collaborate with most business domains such as engineering, product, marketing, analytics and sales. Therefore, you will get to know about the most important business processes at Gartner DMC and be recognized as the subject matter expert on our data models, lineage and source to target mappings.

You will act as an advisor on general data management practices to the other analytics teams, creating and promoting guidelines and best practices as we adopt a data mesh platform architecture. You will have the opportunity to design and develop key data platform foundations and ensure success of our most critical analytics initiatives.

  • Utilize analytics to support Gartner Digital Market’s mission to be the leading partner for software buyers and sellers.

  • Ensure the Central Analytics team and other GDM domains have the necessary data for decision making and data science application development.

  • Manage requirements specification and development process to build our core data models.

  • Partner with senior analysts to ensure relevancy and adoption of our data platform by understanding their needs and requirements.

  • Execute our data platform blueprint vision to allow analysts to be more autonomous, enable self-service analytics and feed our MLOps platform.

  • Act as a change agent for how data is captured at Systems of Record for our most critical data assets by providing data quality requirements (timeliness, completeness, accuracy, consistency, validity...).

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Bachelor´s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics or another quantitative field preferred.

  • Proficiency in creating Entity Relationships Diagrams for conceptual and logical data models.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in: Analytics, data engineering, business intelligence, data intelligence or similar area. 

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Data transformation and standardization using a query language and relational database system on a day to day basis, preferably Snowflake or any other such as MS SQL Server or PostgreSQL.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in any data transformation tool, ideally based on the Snowflake suite

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in ​Designing data models by following Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault, 3NF or other design frameworks.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Designing and building processes to reconcile with source systems.

  • Understanding of business intelligence tools and design practices to optimize their reporting models (preferably Power BI).

  • Experience in high-volume data businesses (preferably Internet, software or technology industries).

  • Experience developing custom approaches to solve complex analytics challenges.

  • Experience serving as project/technical lead in delivering analytics projects.

  • Experience developing findings and communicating actionable recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership.

  • Proficient with the Google suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and Microsoft suite of business applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • Experience working with web analytics tools and data a big plus (i.e. Google Analytics).

  • Verbal English skills (we work in English!)
