About this role:
Gartner has exciting career opportunity for a Project Manager within the IT Department. The successful candidate will join Gartner’s Chief Data Office and will manage the end-to-end delivery of Community Data product initiatives across all Gartner Business Units

What you’ll do: 

  • Organize and lead project teams throughout the project life cycle.

  • Analyze and rationalize requirements to determine agreed, achievable project objectives that align to organizational goals, strategies and objectives.

  • Recommend scope boundaries to best meet business and technology objectives within given time and resource constraints.

  • Drive estimates for all components of the projects.

  • Review, rationalize and integrate multiple work streams of projects into a structured, cohesive project plan.

  • Coordinate with other project teams and plans as required.

  • Successfully create, follow, update and maintain project schedules while tracking milestones and dependencies across teams within a project.

  • Track and remove impediments for the project team.

  • Identify issues with impact beyond project; resolve issues working with teams across projects.

  • Facilitate the development of RFP's or SOW based on project requirements and manage deliverables to implementation and delivery.

  • Work with Product, Technology and Business Owners to define release plans, grooming and prioritizing backlog.

  • Facilitate agile scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-up, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demo, Sprint Retrospective.

  • Successfully champion program management improvement initiatives in the department.

  • Influence changes that sustainably increase scrum team velocity.

  • Effectively communicate and maintain relationships with project team participants and project stakeholders across business and technical teams.


What you’ll need:

  • BS/BA in computer science, information systems or equivalent working experience

  • 2+ years of experience in a role that required IT project management skills

  • 2+ years of experience in executing projects in Agile Scrum Methodology

  • 2+ years of experience in Data Warehouse

  • Experience working with global teams, particularly with team members in India, is strongly preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, with the ability to quickly build credibility and influence and make recommendations to staff at all levels.

  • Experience with Cloud infrastructure and Cloud migration in a large enterprise is preferred.

  • Proficiency preferred in areas such as: metadata management, master data management, data governance, data solutions management, data quality, cleansing strategies and Web Services.

  • Proven record of managing project teams that include both IT staff members and business stakeholders.

  • PMP and / or Agile Scrum certifications preferred.
