The People Technology team builds technical solutions in support of our HR mission critical priorities. Gartner is looking for a well-rounded and motivated developer to join its People Technology team. We are looking for rising talent who is open and eager to learn new things.

What you will do

  • In conjunction with IT/technical teams and third parties, developing web-based applications and integrations to support its People Technology team.
  • Collaborate with HRIS and Business teams to provide IT solutions to Business requirements
  • Design and build integrations and presents design/builds to application leads for review
  • You’ll Investigate and manage integration support issues across the data flows, upstream/ downstream Workday through to resolution.
  • Perform coding and/or configuration to meet documented needs, utilizing standard procedures and techniques.
  • Demonstrate understanding of application development methods, including agile and waterfall, as well as the fundamentals of requirement specifications, design, coding and testing of business applications systems
  • Has a strong working understanding of installed systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve many problems on the existing systems supported
  • Test, implement, document, and maintain system components based on specifications. Also modifies, tests and troubleshoots existing tools and utilities.
  • Develop a basic understanding of the industry and the products and services of the company
  • Select appropriate work procedures or approaches to address technical challenges, consistent with appropriate standards and policies

What you will need

  • Experience in programming in XML and XSLT
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop third party / SaaS integrations
  • Understanding of integration patterns, SOA and Web Service Technologies
  • Experience with integrating applications via web service APIs - SOAP and REST
  • Development experience SQL and PostgreSQL/Oracle/SQL databases
  • Preferred experience in Workday HR, designing, building, and testing Workday HCM integrations to third party vendors including payroll and benefit providers.
  • Preferred experience with Workday integration tools i.e. Custom Reports, EIB, Studio, CCW, PICOF, and PECI
